Springfield Man Killed in Motor Vehicle Accident Along I-44

Missouri Highway Patrol reported a fatal vehicle accident along Interstate 44.
     
The accident occurred eastbound at Mile Marker 21 around 4:15, when a 2002 Ford Explorer driven by 25-year old James Grimes swerved to the left striking a 2008 ford escape driven by 31-year old Andrea McNutt, of Ozark, MO.

Grimes vehicle traveled into the median and overturned, killing his occupant...27 year old John Lawson of Springfield, MO at the scene.

Grimes and an additional passenger, 29 year old Lonnie Tinker were taken to local hospitals with serious injuries.
