Cancer Survivors Celebrate Life in Pittsburg

Lincoln park  filled with grateful families, friends and loved ones all congratulating one another for beating cancer.
Via Christi Hospital held it's cancer survivors picnic Sunday, as a reminder that there is hope fighting the disease.
There was picnic food,  live music, and survivors sharing their  stories.
Organizers say cancer can be one of the hardest things to cope with  emotionally, physically and mentally, but  a little positivism, makes challenges and struggles easier on patients.
Lisa Lovell with the cancer center says, "It is a tough thing to go through. It's not easy and the survivors are so strong and they just have so much strength because it takes a lot to get through it." Cancer survivor Patsy Stevens says, "With us, it's phone calls but we go to the hospitals. Wherever we need to be. Wherever we're needed."

There are nearly 12 million cancer survivors in the united states and Stevens says she, along with her family, is proud to be part of that number.
