Seagram's Escapes partners with Essie nail artist to help women "Keep it Colorful" all season
ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Summer is getting close and women everywhere will be showing off their fresh "mani-pedis." Seagram's Escapes teamed up with Essie's lead nail designer, Rita Remark, to create colorful nail art to get us ready for the warm weather. Inspired by Seagram's Escapes vibrant color palette, each nail look is accompanied by a summer cocktail recipe.
"Through the Keep it Colorful campaign, Seagram's Escapes is curating inspired moments that encourage women to add more color to their lives," said Jennifer McCauley, Seagram's Escapes brand manager. "From entertaining to personal style, we are inviting friends like Rita to share ideas that will make these every day occasions a little more fun and colorful."
As lead nail artist for Essie, Rita has created nails for top designers at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week including Jill Stuart and Wes Gordon. As a team artist, she has worked for shows like Alexander Wang, DKNY and Opening Ceremony. Working backstage fuels Rita's creativity and keeps her at the forefront of trends and techniques within the industry.
Try on these colorful nail designs... and while you're letting them dry, enjoy a Seagram's Escapes summer inspired cocktail!
Look #1: Polo Stripe
Rita says: "This design was inspired by the stripes of a classic Polo T-Shirt. Taking a cue from Seagram's Escape's Watermelon Splash, this manicure features the refreshing colors of a summer watermelon."
You will need a striping brush, base and top coat and Essie "Absolutely Shore," "Bachelorette Bash" and "French Affair."

Pairs well with: Watermelon Mimosa, the new and improved brunch cocktail. Combine 6 oz. Seagram's Escapes Watermelon Splash, 3 oz. sparkling rose and ½ oz. lime juice in a glass with ice. Stir well. Strain and serve in chilled champagne glass.
Look #2: Sun & Sea
Rita says: "Though the runway may have seen plenty of nude nails for summer, this look provides a great way to dress up an otherwise clean and simple manicure and turn it into something fun for the beach."
You will need base and top coat and Essie "Topless & Barefoot," "Blanc" and "Bikini so Teeny."

Seagram's Escapes Kiwi Strawberry, 1 oz. strawberry liqueur and ½ oz. lime juice in a glass with ice. Stir well. Serve in cold martini glass.
