Rising cost of coffee beans worldwide takes toll of businesses in Four States

The rising cost of coffee beans worldwide is taking its toll on businesses in the Four States.
Owners of Signet Coffee Roasters in Pittsburg say they have seen a dramatic increase in the cost for beans in the past 2 months.
They order about 1,800 pounds of coffee beans every 2 to 3 months.
Last week's shipment cost roughly $1 per pound more than usual.
While they have not had to raise prices, which they are working to avoid, they say it is taking a toll on their business.
"The problem is we keep our price the same, so obviously we don't make as much money per pound when we have to pay more for pound than what we sell it for," said Leah Posterick, co-owner of Signet Coffee Roasters.
The recent cost of coffee beans per pound is the highest it has been in the past 4 years.
