USD 250 Board of Education Approves Negotiated Agreement

Pittsburg, Kan. (June 10, 2014) – During the June 9, 2014 Board of Education Meeting, the USD 250 Board of Education approved the negotiated agreement between teachers and the district. The agreement includes a “fair dismissal” clause, which will continue giving teachers a fair process when dismissal becomes necessary.

“This is an agreement I am proud of,” Destry Brown, Pittsburg Community Schools superintendent said. “The agreement reached is a common sense agreement that will help attract and retain teachers in our district.”

The agreement also gave teachers a little more than three-percent raise, which will help influence recent college graduates to work for Pittsburg Community Schools USD 250.
