Miami City Council has approved a firm to find their new city manager.
The firm is called Strategic Government Resources, and is based out of Keller, Texas.
It will cost the city $15,000 for the search, with an additional $8,000 allowed for expenses.
The firm will narrow down the search to three to five candidates for the city council to choose from.
"It seems like a smart spend for the return on investment. We'll get a nationwide search," says Kristi Mcclain, Director of Economic Development, "I think our desire is just to be able to find the right person to fit culturally with our organization and help move our community forward."
The firm plans to have candidates selected by October.
