Missouri legislation allows convicted drug felons to receive food stamps

Updated:
Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has signed legislation allowing convicted drug felons to receive food stamps.  The governor signed a bill repealing a ban on the practice.  People with three or fewer drug felonies will be able to receive aid through the supplemental nutrition program but only if they have completed or are enrolled in a substance abuse program when required.
