The Active Lifestyle Events Board of Directors Presents Check to Rebuild Joplin

Updated:

The Active Lifestyle Events Board of Directors presented a check to Rebuild Joplin today.

They donated $30,000 to the organization to help Joplin rebuilding efforts.

The donation consists of money raised from the Joplin Memorial Run last month.

"This donation means a lot to Rebuild Joplin and to the families we are trying to help bring home," says Rebuild Joplin Board President Andy Perigo, "The further away we get from the tornado date the harder it is for us to raise funds."

"We like to think that this event not only financially supports rebuilding physical facilities and homes, but also it's part of the healing process," says Audie Dennis, President of Active Lifestyle Events Board.

Rebuild Joplin will match the donation with money from private donations to build more homes for families affected by the tornado.
