Parsons Police investigate car burglaries

PARSONS, KS —After a rash of car burglaries on Tuesday night, the Parsons Police Department has detained two juvenile suspects for questioning and is seeking a third in the incidents.

According to Police Chief Scott Gofourth, two males, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old were questioned and police are looking for a third individual.

The burglaries took place in the 3000 block of Washington, 3000 block of Crawford and the 3200 block of Clark. Gofourth said that several miscellaneous items were reported stolen including a GPS, a gun, and other smaller items.

He urges residents in order to prevent this from happening, do not leave valuables in plain sight or remove them from your vehicles, and remember to always lock your doors.
