Thunderstorms bring down trees and cause injuries at a Southwest Missouri campground

Updated:

Wind and  flying debris cause a few injuries at the Shady Beach Campground in Noel, Missouri.

McDonald County Emergency Management Director Gregg Sweeten says trees are down. And the Under Sheriff Chris Allison says at least one person was trapped and had to be rescued.

An ambulance crew has been on the scene. Sweeten says the sheriffs department will take its boat on the river to check for stranded people in canoes. The water patrol has also been called to help.
