MSSU PBL club members recognized at national conference

Joplin, MO (SNS) – The Missouri Southern State University Phi Beta Lambda club received several national honors during the recent PBL National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tenn.

More than 1,800 students attended the conference held June 24-27. The theme was “Excellence in Action.”

Southern students recognized during competition included Hailey Aguinaga, a senior from Carthage, third in the Human Resource Management category; Aguinaga, Kyle Prisock, a junior from Joplin, and Cassie Smith, Savannah, Mo., fifth in Emerging Business Issues; Tricia Coleman, a senior from Carthage, seventh in Management Analysis and Decision Making; and Brandi Carey, a sophomore from Joplin, ninth in Financial Analysis and Decision Making.

The following students qualified for the event finals: Brandi Carey, Kyle Prisock and Tiffannie Roberts, a junior from Webb City, in Business Decision Making; Tricia Coleman and Cassie Smith in Marketing Analysis and Decision Making; and Tiffannie Roberts in Sales Presentation.

The Missouri Southern PBL club is sponsored by the Robert W. Plaster School of Business. The collegiate equivalent of Future Business Leaders of America, PBL is an educational associatiopost secondaryndary student members preparing for careers in business. There are over 11,000 active members in the United States including 350 members with 20 chapters in Missouri.
