Neosho to host Big Spring Bluegrass & BBQ

The twangs of the banjo, fiddle, and mandolin will be heard in Neosho’s Big Spring Park on August 2, as the City of Neosho hosts Big Spring Bluegrass & BBQ.

The inaugural event will feature seven bluegrass bands from around the area including: 

Crazy Mule - 11 a.m.
Riverbend - 12 p.m.
Borderline - 1 p.m.
Spur of the Moment - 2 p.m.
Central City Grass - 3 p.m.
Coyote Hill Bluegrass - 4 p.m.
Brightwater Junction - 5 p.m.


Also, Neosho’s own traditional instrument music artist Nathan McAlister will perform 15-minutes sets at 1:45 p.m., 2:45 p.m., and 3:45 p.m.

Area barbecue vendors will be on site offering everything from pulled pork to smoked brisket to everything in between. Food prices are set by the individual vendors. 

It’s going to be a day of great old-time fun, so bring the lawn chairs, bring the kids, and bring an appetite!

    Last year’s inaugural Bridal Crawl, hosted by Memorial Auditorium and featuring merchants in Downtown Pittsburg, was such a success that future brides and the merchants asked for a repeat this fall.
