Burgos accepts plea deal

Update:  Alberto Burgos was sentenced to five years unsupervised probation after stabbing a man in Noel, MO. He accepted a plea deal of 2nd Degree Assault.

9/15: Burgos is charged with Armed Criminal Action, 1st Degree Assault, and Resisting Arrest.

9-14, deputies were dispatched to Highway 59 just north of Noel in reference to an assault. Upon their arrival they located the victim, Starvin Hadley, with a puncture wound around the stomach area. They determined that he had been stabbed and he was taken by helicopter to the hospital. Deputies processed the scene and were able to determine that the suspect was Alberto Burgos and attempted to locate him.

Deputies applied for a warrant for Mr. Burgos and one was issued and he was located and arrested at a residence just outside of Noel on 9-15-2014 around 03:30am. The victim is recovering in the hospital.
