Two suspects involved in early morning stabbing

Updated:

Authorities in Benton County (Arkansas) say 21-year-old Toby Hernandez allegedly stabbed a man 68 times and struck him with a baseball bat. A sheriff deputy spotted the reported stolen vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Officers arrested Hernandez and female juvenile also in the vehicle. The deputies say there was blood on the girl's clothing. Hernandez is charged in Benton County with aggravated robbery, kidnapping, and first degree battery.

He is also facing charges in Ottawa County (Oklahoma).

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department would like to thank the Miami Police Department, and the Quapaw Tribal Marshalls for their assistance. The investigation in Benton County continues, and investigators should arrive Monday morning to process the evidence collected by Deputy Jones and Bachman.
