Webb City R-7 Schools Foundation announces Distinguished Citizen Award Winners

Webb City, MO – The Webb City R-7 Schools Foundation is pleased to announce Dave Collard as their 2014 Distinguished Citizen. A banquet will be held in his honor on Thursday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at the Webb City Junior High School. Tickets are available at the Webb City R-7 School District's Administration Building at 411 N. Madison, Webb City. Tickets are $30.00/each. All proceeds from the banquet are used for scholarships.

Dave received his Bachelors of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Missouri. Recently, Dave retired following a 39-year career from Missouri Farm Bureau as District Agency Manager of Southwest Missouri. Dave loves the community in which he lives and is very active serving in various organizations. He is currently serving on the Webb City R-7 School Board and has been a member of the Board of Education for the past 25 years. Additionally, he serves on the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisory, Jasper County Mounted Sheriff's Posse, Lion's Club, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Ronald McDonald House. He loves agriculture and thoroughly enjoys sharing the farm experience by hosting Our Farm Day for Kids in the spring and fall with the District's Kindergarten students and Parents as Teachers groups.

The purpose of the event is to honor deserving citizens in our community, publicize the Foundation's efforts to expand in other areas for the betterment of our students, and to raise funds that will support the mission of the Foundation.
