Family restaurant in downtown Pittsburg reopens with updated look

Otto's Cafe voluntarily closed in September for renovations. This happened in the midst of failed health inspections.

The owners and management collaborated with the Stilwell Heritage and Education Foundation, the non-profit group that owns the building, to renovate the space.

The teams repainted the restaurant and added historic photos of downtown.

Owner Steven Johnson said he was thrilled to open the doors this morning.

"We had a lot of fun," said Johnson. "Saw a lot of people that we had missed for a few months and it was fun to see all of them come in and greet us again."

The Stilwell Foundation will hold gallery exhibits in Otto's main dining room. The first, titled "Remembrances of World War II," will open November 8th
