MIAA Team Rankings - The Lions ranked 1st in the MIAA in scoring defense (44.3 ppg), scoring margin (+32.8 ppg),  & free-throw percentage (.797), 3rd in FG percentage defense (.308), 3-pt FG percentage (.379), 2nd in 3-pt FG percentage defense (.238), 1st in rebounding defense (27.0 rpg), 3rd in rebounding margin (+18.5 rpg), 4th in assists (17.2 apg), 4th in steals (10.8 spg), T-5th in blocks (3.5 bpg), and 3rd in Assist/Turnover Ratio (1.1).

MIAA Individual Ranks - Sharese Jones ranks 11th in the MIAA in scoring with 14.0 ppg, 5th in FG percentage as she is shooting 58.3% from the field hitting 28-48 , 7th in rebounding with 7.8 rpg, 11th in free throw percentage shooting 80.6% (25-31).
Nic Hartzog is 27th in the league in scoring with 12.2 ppg, 2nd in free throw percentage shooting 89.7%, 26-29 from the line, and 2nd in steals with 2.8 spg.
Lex Fitzpatrick is 10th in the MIAA with 3.7 assists per game and T-14th in the league in assist/turnover ratio at 2.0.
Shawnee Phillips is shooting 42.3% from downtown and ranks 8th in the MIAA and is T-10th in 3-pt FG made with 1.8 per contest.


NCAA Stat Leaders - The Lions lead NCAA D2 in scoring defense allowing just 44.3 ppg. Southern is also 5th in both rebound margin (+18.3 rpg) and scoring margin (+32.8 ppg), while they are 8th in free throw percentage shooting 79.7% as a team. The Lions are also ranked 13th in D2 in field-goal percentage defense holding their opponents to just 30.9% shooting from the floor.

Three Point Streak - The Lions have made a three pointer in 415 consecutive games. The last time Southern did not make a shot from downtown was in a 68-53 loss to Southern Arkansas on Nov. 20, 1999.

Defensive effort - The Lions have not allowed 100 points to an opponent since Emporia State defeated Southern 102-60 on Feb. 12, 2000. That is 395 straight games without allowing 100+ points.leading at the halfThe Lions have led the game at the half in all six games this season and are 6-0. Outshoot the Opponents - Southern has out-shot their opponents in four out of six games this season and are 20-3 when that happens under Coach Hubbard.

Dropping Dimes - The Lions dropped more dimes than their opponents in five out of six games this season and are 22-3 when that happens all time under Coach Hubbard. The Lions set a new team record for assists in a game with 33 assists on 39 made buckets against Central Christian on November 25, 2014.

Glass Cleaners - The Lions, as a team out rebounded all six their opponents this season and are 23-4 when that happens under Coach Hubbard.
