League play on tap in MIAA women's basketball

League play is slated to start this week as MIAA women's basketball moves into week four.

#21 Central Missouri begins league play in Hays
Last Week: 11/28 d. South Carolina-Aiken 73-65   11/29 d. West Florida 64-68
Upcoming: 12/4 at Fort Hays State 5:30 p.m. 12/7 vs. William Jewell 1 p.m.
#21 Central Missouri will be on the road at Fort Hays State to open the league season. The Jennies are led by Jasmine Thompson who is averaging 15.7 points and Shelby Winkelmann with 15.0 points per game. On the glass Revonnia Howard is averaging 8.0 rebounds per contest.

Central Oklahoma has two at home
Last Week: 11/29 d. Arkansas-Fort Smith 92-65    12/2 d. Southern Nazarene 87-72
Upcoming: 12/4 vs. Lindenwood 5:30 p.m.    12/7 vs. Lincoln 12 p.m.
Central Oklahoma will face Lindenwood and Lincoln at home as they begin their league schedule. The Bronchos are led by Haley Weathers with 11.6 points and Kylie Mayes with 10.9 points per game. Also in double figures are Olivia Mason with 10.5 and Julia Mason with 10.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest.

#1 Emporia State continues homestand
Last Week: 11/29 d. Southwestern Oklahoma State 63-56 
Upcoming: 12/3 vs. Northwest Missouri 5:30 p.m.   12/6 vs. Newman 5:30 p.m.
#1 Emporia State will be a home against Northwest Missouri and Newman in week four. The Lady Horents are led by Kelly Moten who is averaging 14.0 points per game. Merissa Quick is averaging 13.8 points and 7.4 rebounds while Amber Vandiver is averaging 11.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per contest.

Fort Hays State at home to open MIAA play
Last Week: 11/29 d. Tabor 74-44
Upcoming: 12/4 vs. #21 Central Missouri 5:30 p.m.    12/6 vs. Missouri Western 2 p.m.
Fort Hays State will begin league play against UCM and MWSU. The Tigers are led by Kate Lehman who is averaging a double-double with 20.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Jill Faxon is also in double figures averaging 13.3 points per contest.

Lincoln heads to Oklahoma
Last Week: 11/29 d. Quincy 90-79 
Upcoming: 12/4 at Northeastern State 5:30 p.m.   12/7 at Central Oklahoma
Lincoln will begin league play with a road trip to Oklahoma for two. The Blue Tigers are led by Kelsey Williams with 13.8 points, Kate Frazier with 12.8 points and Dorian Briggs with 12.2 points per contest this season.

Lindenwood travels to Oklahoma
Last Week: 11/21 d. Selma 83-40   11/22 d. Lane 82-65    11/25 d. McKendree 80-75

Lindenwood will open league play with a road trip to Oklahoma. The Lions are led by Kassidy Gengenbacher who is averaging 18.2 points per game. On the glass Vanessa Zailo is averaging 13.6 rebounds per contest.

Missouri Southern rides six game winning streak
Last Week: 11/29 d. Northwestern Oklahoma State 77-33
Upcoming: 12/4 at Nebraska-Kearney 5:30 p.m.   12/6 at #7 Washburn 5 p.m.
Missouri Southern has opened the season on a six game winning streak as they head into league play. The Lions are led by Sharese Jones with 14.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Nicole Hartzog is averaging 12.2 points and Shawnee Phillips 10.0 points per game.

Missouri Western travels to FHSU
Last Week: 11/28 d. Evangel 75-41    11/29 d. Maryville 74-64
Upcoming: 12/6 at Fort Hays State 2 p.m.
Missouri Western will begin league play with a road trip to Fort Hays State. The Griffons are led by LaQuinta Jefferson who is averaging 18.8 points per game. Sarafina Handy is averaging 13.5 points and Tiara Hall 7.5 rebounds per contest as well.

Nebraska-Kearney plays two at home
Last Week: 11/30 d. Oklahoma Panhandle State 92-61
Upcoming: 12/4 vs. Missouri Southern 5:30 p.m.   12/6 vs. Southwest Baptist 1:30 p.m.
Nebraska-Kearney will be at home for two to begin league play. The Lopers are led by Amarah Williams with 17.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Laramey Lewis is averaging 17.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per contest.

Northeastern State at home for three
Last Week: 11/28 l. to Rockhurst 63-59    11/29 l. to #7 Drury 93-52
Upcoming: 12/4 vs. Lincoln 5:30 p.m.   12/6 vs. Lindenwood 1:30 p.m.   12/8 vs. SW Oklahoma State 6 p.m.
Northeastern State will be at home for three with two coming against league opponents. The RiverHawks are led by Fontana Tate who is averaging 10.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest.

Northwest Missouri faces top ten tilts
Last Week: 11/29 d. Rogers State 62-44
Upcoming: 12/3 at #1 Emporia St. 5:30 p.m.   12/6 at #8 Pittsburg St. 1:30 p.m.
Northwest Missouri will face off with two teams in the top ten in week four. The Bearcats are led by Ariel Easton who is averaging 19.0 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest.

#8 Pittsburg State faces NWMSU at home
Last Week: 11/26 d. Truman St. 102-45  11/28 d. #7 Drury 78-73

Southwest Baptist goes on the road

Southwest Baptist will hit the road for Washburn and Nebraska-Kearney in week four. The Bearcats are led by Dilonna Johnson who is averaging 12.4 points and Brook Duncan with 12.2 points per game.

#7 Washburn opens league season at home

Missouri Southern's Board of Governors approved a 15 percent increase in student tuition last April, upping credit hours by $30.
