Four State Gas Prices Dip to Lowest in the Nation

Updated:
Gas prices are dropping across the U.S. and in the Four States they are among the lowest in the nation.

Missouri is the first state to see average gas prices drop below the $2 mark.

Pump N' Pete's in Carl Junction sells regular gas for $1.96, as does Casey's around the corner.

According to AAA the average has dropped for 92 days straight, the longest streak since the company started keeping records in 2000.

The national average is at $2.32, the lowest since May of 2009, helping consumers to keep more money in their wallets.

"Lived her for 10 years, seeing gas prices this low in that long is really nice actually for the simple fact of...it means I get to spend more money on my girlfriend instead of on gas," says Carl Junction resident Alex Burnett.

Oklahoma has the second lowest average price per gallon at $2.01.

Tiger Stop in Commerce, sells regular fuel at $1.98.

Kansas also makes the top three lowest list, with an average of $2.06 a gallon.
