Ottawa County Sheriff's Office Investigates Man's Disappearance

 The Ottawa County Sheriff's office is investigating the disappearance of a 48 year old man said to be worth $1.9 million dollars

Michael Theodore Arne was last seen Thursday night by his niece with whom he had been living.

She says other relatives threatened to take him. Arne requires some psychiatric medications and left without his wallet.  

Ottawa county sought help from Barton and Newton county sheriffs and Joplin police in checking other relatives homes without success.

    Tuition is still going up at Missouri Southern State University, but it's tweaking the cost increase to credit hours to avoid a state fine. Missouri Southern's Board of Governors approved a 15 percent increase in student tuition last April, upping credit hours by $30.
