Brides-to-be Flock to One-Stop Bridal Shop

Updated:
Vendors across the Four States show off the latest in bridal creations at the "Metropolitan Bridal Show and Wedding Expo."

Bride-to-be's and their entourages packed the reception hall inside Downstream Casino.

Vendors ranged from local cake decorators to photographers and wedding dress suppliers.

Deanna Johnson, owner of Joplin's Small Cakes, says the event helps her to make valuable connections

"Not only make connection with customers, but it also makes connection with other vendors. So when we have a bride that's working with a particular vendor we can get with them and tell 'em our needs for what we're doing for the bride," says Johnson.

Bride-to-be Shianne Koger says "I'm learning that there are a lot of different ways that you can do everything and it's really making my decisions for everything harder."

Proceeds from the event's admission fees and raffle tickets benefit Ronald McDonald House.
