Golfers Soak Up the Sun in Pittsburg

Breaking news: it's not summer, as Nick confirmed. But that didn't stop Four Staters from wearing their shorts today.

KOAM's Diane Gerstenfeld visited the Four Oaks Golf Course in Pittsburg during the last minutes of daylight, and people were out, hitting balls, wearing shorts.

This is just another reminder: it's not summer. It's February.

But many will take a day like this anytime of the year.

"It was great. It's crazy to have this kind of weather in February but we took advantage of it and got some holes in,” says golfer Nick Trayer.

Golfer Chuck Thompson says "Well in Kansas you generally don't see 70 degree weather in February so it's a great time to get out and enjoy a game of golf."

Today's high temperatures hit 73 degrees, tying the record set in 1990.
