Sign Up for Softball & Flag Football in March

Take a swing at the Spring Adult Softball League starting on Monday, March 23, the Men's League, and Wednesday, March 25, the Coed League. Adult softball games will be hosted by the Joplin Parks and Recreation Department at Gene Bassman Softball Complex.

Registration is open through Wednesday, March 18 for this spring sport. Fees for the league are $310 for each team, includes umpires, scorekeepers and four softballs. The coed divisions include gold (competitive), silver (intermediate), and bronze (recreational). There is a three homerun limit, and teams must have an equal ratio of girls to guys on the team. All players must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

Adults will usually play a double header depending on the amount of teams sign up. Teams will play an eight game season, followed by a single elimination tournament. First place teams in both the men's and coed divisions will receive championship T-shirt.

Gear up for the spring 2015 Flag Football League. Starting on Tuesday, March 24, the Joplin Parks and Recreation Department will kick off the flag football league at Hershewe Soccer Complex located at the Joplin Athletic Complex.

Registration is open through Wednesday, March 18 for this spring league. Fees for flag football are $275 per team, and first place teams will receive championship t-shirts.

Flag football is open to adults ages 18 and up. Games consist of two 15 minute halves, and every team will play six weeks of double headers, followed by a single elimination tournament. For a copy of the league rules go to www.teamsideline.com/joplin.
