How did you enjoy today's nice weather?

Updated:
Did you have a chance to get outside and enjoy the nice weather?

Workers on the new Joe Becker Stadium in Joplin got some of that outdoor time today.  Unlike previous times, today's work was uninterrupted by stormy weather.  Bleachers are being put in, masonry work is being done, dirt is still being moved.  Joplin's Parks and Recreation director says the stadium will be done in time for the Joplin Blaster's opening day on May 21.

"ADA elevators need to come in, the actual seats need to come in for the bleachers, and there's still a lot of masonry work to done," says Chris Cotten with Joplin Parks and Recreation.

We asked Cotten what he thought about the new stadium, compared to how it used to look.

"I haven't really had time to think about it.  We've got so much going on in the city.  I mean, this is a great project.  But maybe when it's all done, I'll have time to sit back and reflect on how it was before," says Cotten.

The new stadium will feature 2,400 permanent seats.
