Joplin Blasters to Hold Dance Team Auditions

The Joplin Blasters will be fielding a dance team for their inaugural 2015 season.  Girls who make the team will perform at various regular season games as well as becoming ambassadors for the Joplin Blasters throughout the community. This is a great opportunity for these young women to further their dance career and join a team that will be involved in the local community.  


Briley Performing Arts will be hosting the auditions on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at their dance studio located at:

Briley Performing Arts Company

2909 East 4th St.

Joplin, Missouri 64801.  

Tryouts began at 10:00 a.m. and run through 12:00 p.m.

    Two Kansas deputies killed in the line of duty will be laid to rest Thursday. On Friday, June 15th, 2018, Wyandotte County deputies Theresa King and Patrick Rohrer were shot while transferring an inmate from the courthouse back to jail after a hearing. Authorities say the inmate apparently overpowered the deputies in a gated area behind the courthouse and shot them - possibly with one of their own guns.
