Local casino reopens and adds an indoor arena for bull riding

Updated:
Bordertown Casino and Arena reopened this morning to the public. The original casino was built in 2003 and closed in 2013. The casino owned by the Eastern Shawnee Tribe now offers an inside arena for bull riding.

Their first bull riding event will be May 23rd, but the event will not involve human riders. It is called futurity competition where two year old bulls compete against each other with a twenty five pound dummy on their back. The bulls will be judged on their buck, kick, spin, intensity, and degree of difficulty.

Admission is free for the event.  Here is more information on the event http://www.bordertowncasino.com/#!forms/cdx9
