2015 farmers' market season officially starts in Pittsburg - KOAM TV 7

2015 farmers' market season officially starts in Pittsburg

Updated:
At 7:30 am, vendors were open for business for the Pittsburg Farmers' Market under the downtown pavilion setting. The offerings ranged from early spring produce, including onions and kale, to artisan breads and natural soaps and lotions. All items sold at the farmers market are grown, raised or handmade within 75 miles of Pittsburg. Vendors say they are happy to be up and running for the season, and they look forward to the routine of harvesting.

"We know every Friday we have to go out to the fields to pick something and I think that's a good thing for all the farmers that set up here and for the vendors here to get back in that routine and know that they have something to look forward to on Thursdays and Fridays," said Trent Kling.

The Pittsburg Farmers' Market will be open Saturdays from 7:30 to 12:00 and the occasional Wednesday.
