Also a member of the football team at Northwest, He was an All-League punter and defensive back.

On the basketball court, Fritz is the third-leading scorer in school history. He helped lead his team to two Kansas State Championships, including a perfect 25-0 mark his junior campaign and a number 19 national ranking according to USA Today.

A member of a basketball family, Fritz's father is the boys basketball coach at Northwest, while his mother, Ann is the girls basketball coach. His father played basketball at Baker University, while his mother played at the University of Nebraska. His grandfather, Vince Costello, is a member of the Cleveland Browns Hall of Fame.
