Joplin Blasters Announce 2015 Promotional Schedule

The Joplin Blasters will be celebrating the Inaugural Season of Professional Baseball at Joe Becker Stadium and have packed the promotions schedule for a summer of fun at the ballpark. Single game tickets are currently on sale and fans can still purchase mini-packs and season tickets.


The Blasters Home Opener will be Thursday May 21 vs. the Wichita Wingnuts at 6:35 p.m. to kick off a four-game series.  Opening Night will feature a Souvenir Rally Towel courtesy of Mercy Hospital to the first 2,500 in attendance.

The Blasters will introduce a Minor League Baseball Staple with $1 Beer Thursdays scheduled for six (6) games this season: June 11, June 18, July 16, July 30, August 13, August 27. $1 Beer Thursdays are Presented by Budweiser.

The schedule features eight Fireworks Friday Nights: May 22, May 29, June 12, July 10, July 17, July 31, August 14, and August 28. These fireworks shows will become “can't-miss” events in Joplin during the summer.

The Blasters are home for the 4th of July and will be planning a 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza. This show promises to be a fireworks spectacle that will be the talk of the town. What better way to celebrate this great Country than by taking in a professional baseball game while watching a beautiful display of Fireworks?

The Blasters have planned numerous Souvenir Giveaways throughout the season:

·         Rally Towels May 21 (2,500, Presented by Mercy)

·         Limited Edition Collectible Posters (First 1,000 fans in attendance, Presented by Joplin Globe) Numerous Dates

·        Squishy Balls on May 30 (First 1,000 Fans in attendance)

·         Schedule Posters on May 31 (Presented by Missouri Department of Transportation)

·         Koozies on July 11 (First 1,000 fans, Presented by Lakeland Office Systems, Inc.)

·         Pennants on Aug 29 (First 2,500 fans, Presented by Mercy Hospital)

The Blasters will welcome two national touring acts to Joe Becker Stadium in 2015. 

·         Midget Wrestling World Title Bout           (http://www.halfpintbrawlers.com/) June 13

·         ZOOperstars! (www.zooperstars.com) Presented by Blue Buffalo July 18

Individual game promotions are a big part of the Blasters schedule, some of the scheduled nights include:

·      Military Appreciation Night Benefitting Camp Corral on July 5

·      Christmas in July on July 15

·      Ronald McDonald House Night on July 29

·      GLOW Big with the Blasters 5k presented by Big Brothers Big Sisters on August 1

·      Movie Night at the Ballpark presented by Innovative Objects on August 15

·      Fan Appreciation on August 30

In addition to individual game promotions, the Blasters are bringing Daily Promotions to the 2015 schedule.  The Daily Promotions are:

SUNDAYS

·       Sunday Family Fun Day

·         Kids Run the Bases:  All kids 12 and under welcome to run the bases after the game

MONDAYS

·      Carl Junction Night (Fans with a valid Carl Junction, MO ID card will receive discounted ticket prices)

TUESDAYS

·         $2 Tuesdays presented by Coors Light on specific menu items

·      Neosho and Carthage Night (Fans with a valid Neosho, MO or Carthage, MO ID card will receive discounted ticket prices)

THURSDAYS

·        $1 Beer Night Presented by Budweiser

FRIDAYS

·         Fireworks Friday. The Best show in town every Friday the Blasters are at home.

SATURDAYS

·         Souvenir Saturdays and traveling acts

·      Fans will be treated to different giveaway items or nationally recognized traveling acts every Saturday night.
