Eight MIAA players earn All-Region in baseball

Eight players from the MIAA earned Daktronics All-Central Region honors in baseball as was announced today.

MIAA Player of the Year Dean Long of Emporia State earned first team honors as did MIAA Pitcher of the Year Cody Hutchinson of Missouri Southern. Also earning first team honors were Emporia State outfielder Justin Harris, Missouri Southern utility pitcher Chris Hoffman and Fort Hays State utility player Kevin Czarnecki.

Earning second team honors were outfielder Trevor Jones from Central Missouri, designate hitter Jesse Rall from Missouri Southern and pitcher Payton Walker also of MSSU.

The first day of the Central regional scheduled for today has been postponed until tomorrow due to rain in St. Cloud, Minn.

1st Team All-Central Region

Dean Long, 3B, Emporia State

Justin Harris, OF, Emporia State

Kevin Czarnecki, UT, Fort Hays State

Chris Hoffman, UTP, Missouri Southern

Cody Hutchinson, P, Missouri Southern

2nd Team All-Central Region

Trevor Jones, OF, Central Missouri
Jesse Rall, DH, Missouri Southern

Payton Walker, P, Missouri Southern
