Monett Police are pleased to announce that with help from family and several law enforcement agencies Olivia and Tori Bailey have been picked up by family in the Eldorado Springs area and returned to loved ones. We would like to thank all the law enforcement agencies, members of the media, and the people that continued to send in tips that assisted us in bringing these girls home.

The Monett Police Department has issued an Endangered Person Advisory for a missing person incident that occurred at the YMCA in Monett, MO at 2:30 P.M. on May 24, 2015.

Missing Are:  

Olivia Bailey a white, female, age 15, and Tori Bailey a white, female, age 14. 

The endangered missing persons are:

Olivia Bailey , is a white, female, age 15, height 5 feet, 105 pounds, blonde hair, blue eyes, fair complexion, with tattoos on her right thigh and left foot.Tori Bailey , is a white, female, age 14, height 4 feet 8 inches, 100 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, fair complexion.

Brief circumstances regarding the Endangered Missing Person incident:

The subjects were reported as runaways on May 24, 2015 from the Monett YMCA. Information was received that one of the subjects wanted to return, but was not permitted to. Investigation has revealed the subjects are associated with persons with alleged drug and gang affiliation.

Anyone seeing the missing persons, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing persons should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Monett Police Department at 417-235-4241 or 888-635-8477.

    Brian Barksdale is sentenced for first degree arson for setting fire to his Joplin apartment on South St. Louis. On May 23rd, 2018, Joplin emergency crews responded to the Cardinal Apartments at 1015 South St. Louis for a structure fire.     A former Columbus elementary principal is found guilty of attempted indecent solicitation of a child. Baxter Springs resident Ray Alfred Golden is accused of trying to persuade a child to enter his home with the intent to commit an unlawful sexual act upon the child in the home. The alleged incident happened in August 2015. On October 18th, 2018, Golden entered a plea of guilty in lieu of proceeding to trial.
