A long running  drug  investigation leads to the  arrests  of three Cherokee County employees.. Sheriff David Groves says deputies have been working the case since March of this year and more arrests are possible in the ongoing investigation.
Three suspects are  facing drug charges.
37 year old Candy Harris of Columbus,  29 year old Rebecca Dobyns of Columbus and 28 year old Kristin seal of Baxter Springs.
Harris and Dobyns both work for the county treasurers office and Seal in  the noxious weed department.
Groves says Harris, the ringleader of the operation, sold prescription drugs unlawfully at the courthouse and at her Columbus home.

Groves says, "It's not positive, but our investigation has not revealed anything to indicate that any other supervisors were aware of what was going on. There's no indication of any wrongdoing as far as their job is related. It's more of the activity outside of their employment."

Harris is charged with distributing a controlled substance within a thousand feet of a school, possession and intent to distribute, plus eight counts of using a communication device to arrange drug transactions.

Dobyns is charged with one count of using a communications device to arrange a drug transaction.

While Seal is charged with seven counts of arranging drug transactions.

All have been released on bail.
