About 3,000 Machine Gun Enthusiasts Flock to O.F.A.S.T.

Updated:
WYANDOTTE, OKLAHOMA -
Gun enthusiasts get to experience machine guns hands on at the Oklahoma Full Auto Shoot and Trade Show in Wyandotte.

The highlight of the trade show was the kill the car demonstration. Shooters lined up, three football fields across while some even flew in a helicopter, all shooting at a car dropping down a hill rigged with explosives.

Explosives were also hidden in other objects like boats and washing machines littered throughout the valley.

"When they come up here they come apprehensive. They think it's illegal at first. But they're not sure because you're having an event so it must be legal. And then when they get educated a little bit. And then they understand that they are legally owned machine guns. And normally they leave with smiles because they've got to shoot a gun that they've only dreamed about owning or being able to fire. And they leave here being able to do that,” say O.F.A.S.T. promoter Mike Friend.

Owning a machine gun is legal throughout the Four States which is why many come from outside the region come to give it a try.

This is the event's 14th year.
