Joplin Schools Board of Education is seeking nominations from the public for the annual Eagle Legacy Award through Friday, Aug. 7. The award is presented to a deserving community member who has been a tireless advocate for the betterment of Joplin students, has had a lasting impact on local education, and has worked to improve the community through involvement in service to Joplin Schools. The award will be presented during the annual Joplin Schools Staff Opening Day set for 9 a.m. Aug. 18 at Joplin High School, 2104 Indiana Ave.
Those interested in submitting an Eagle Legacy Award nomination should visit www.joplinschools.org/BOEand fill out the online nomination form. Nominations are due by Friday, Aug. 7.
