CJ Huff Hired by Bright Futures USA; Webb Superintendent Resigns from Bright Futures USA Board

Updated:

CJ Huff gets hired by Bright Futures USA which leads a local superintendent to resign from that board.

The Bright Futures USA board voted to hire huff for at least six months.
Board spokesman Mark Quinn says Huff has fantastic relationships with businesses and educators. He believes Huff will bring  new members and new revenues to Bright Futures.
Huff has resigned as  a member of the Bright Futures  board of directors to take the contracted position which will spans six months to start and then could be renegotiated..
The vote creating the  paid position  led  Webb City school superintendent Anthony Rossetti to resign  from that board as well.
Rossetti contacted Webb City school board members about his decision. Genie Newby says she supports Rossetti's decision.   He told her it was a "sudden but needed decision."
Quinn says the board hates to lose Rossetti but argues the hiring is a reasonable way to spend monies.Quinn says, "When people start taking issue with something that is absolutely going to drive the organization  forward, it has a fantastic opportunity to add communities to the bright futures program which ultimately delivers fantastic results which we already know for communities  that are engaged,  why in the world would you not want to take full advantage of that opportunity. It's playing offense."

Quinn would not disclose how much huff will get paid.. But he  says many charities invest in people who can bring in monies to the organization.
