PSU Homecoming queen and king announced

PITTSBURG, KANSAS -

Ellie Stewart, a senior communication major from Overland Park, Kan., and Ryan Schulteis, a senior business management major from Lawrence, Kan., are the 2015 Homecoming queen and king at Pittsburg State University. The selections were announced at Homecoming Convocation at Carnie Smith Stadium on Wednesday.

Stewart is the daughter of Mark and Meredith Stewart of Jenks, Oklahoma, and Overland Park, Kan. Schulteis is the son of Bill and Brenda Schulteis of Overland Park, Kan., and Windsor, Mo.

First runners up were Heather Hartong, of Leawood, Kan., and Jayden Bowen, of Colony, Kan. Second runners up were Abby Chaloupka of Kearney, Mo., and Ryan Magee, of Shawnee, Kan.

The king, queen, their attendants and other candidates will ride in Saturday’s Homecoming Parade at 9 a.m. in downtown Pittsburg. The king and queen and their attendants will also be honored at PSU’s Homecoming football game, which begins at 2 p.m. Saturday in Carnie Smith Stadium.
