Submit Your Work for Maple Leaf Forever Flag Design

Updated:
CARTHAGE, MISSOURI -

Planning for the 2016 Maple Leaf Festival, hosted by the Carthage Chamber of Commerce, is well underway. Already, you might be asking yourself? Committee Chair Jeanine Poe says “Next year is a big anniversary for the festival and for Carthage. It’s the 50th annual festival so we are already working hard to make sure it’s the best festival Carthage has ever seen!”

Maple Leaf planners will produce an official forever flag for purchase so that you may display your love of the festival for years to come. “We want to absolutely blanket the town with flags to help get all of our residents, visitors, and guests as excited about the festival as we are!” Poe stated. “That’s where the creative people of Carthage come in. We are looking for artwork that embodies Carthage, embodies fall, and embodies the festival to use as the Maple Leaf Forever Flag.” she added. The flag will not be specific to a year so that buyers can use the flag for many years.

Guidelines for submitting artwork:

Submitted artwork must be no larger than 11” X 17”

Digital artwork is accepted (JPEG and PDF format only with a minimum output of 600 dpi)

Non-digital pieces must be submitted on white paper (no 3-D images, sculptures or animated entries will be accepted)

For maximum reproduction quality, vivid colors are encouraged

All entries should incorporate images representing Carthage, the Maple Leaf Festival and fall elements

All entries become the property of the Carthage Chamber of Commerce

Submit your design no later Tuesday, May 31st, 2016 at 5PM. The Chamber reserves the right to accept or reject any or all submissions. For more information, contact Mary Jo at the Carthage Chamber of Commerce, 417-358-2373 or mjlittle@carthagechamber.com.
