Shooting near I-49 Off Ramp in McDonald County

Update:  McDonald County Sheriff's Office has identified Mark Willis, 28, of Rogers, Arkansas, who killed himself.

Update -  Additional information: Officers on scene have advised that suspect shot himself.

Officers were called to check on suspicious person on the off ramp off of  I-49 and State Highway 76. According to the McDonald County Sheriff's Department, the suspect pulled a weapon on officers, shots were then fired to stop the fleeing vehicle that he had stolen. Suspect led officers on a short pursuit. Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating  at this time due to officer shooting. At this time I-49 is closed from Anderson to Goodman.
