Coffeyville Police Officers Arrest Three in Jewelry Store Burglary

At approximately 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015, the Coffeyville Police Department responded to a citizen reported burglary at Eisele’s Jewelry at 124 West Eighth Street.  When officers arrived on the scene they witnessed suspects leaving the area by vehicle.  The suspect vehicle subsequently left the roadway at 4th and Northeast Street in Walter Johnson Park.

The vehicle contained three occupants; one was arrested and two fled on foot into the wooded area of the park.  With assistance from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department and their canine unit along with the South Coffeyville Police Department, a perimeter was set up around the area and a second suspect was apprehended.  The third suspect was apprehended shortly before noon after he was spotted in a culvert by a citizen near the area.

The subjects have been identified as Jumani Coleman, Vaughn Leon and Kevin Quinn, all of Parsons, Kansas.

Coleman has been charged with burglary, felony theft, criminal damage to property, flee and elude in the commission of a felony and felony obstruction.

Leon has been charged with burglary, felony theft, criminal damage to property, flee and elude in the commission of a felony and felony obstruction.

Quinn has been charged with burglary, felony theft, criminal damage to property, flee and elude in the commission of a felony, felony obstruction and the additional charges of reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

Additional charges may be filed prior to the conclusion of this investigations.
