(Update 6:15 PM)  With darkness falling on multi-agency search teams, the third day of searching has been suspended for Adam Nixon, a duck hunter who was reported missing Monday afternoon. According to Sheriff’s Office officials, water units with the Conservation Department, the Highway Patrol, Vernon County Ambulance District the Four States Search and Rescue Unit as well as multiple land units with K-9 teams have all been part of the massive search. Sheriff Jason Mosher said his office has been contacted by rescue agencies, groups and individuals from around the state offering to help in the search. Helicopters and air units have made extensive searches of the surrounding area, and the areas not under water have been checked with K-9’s and search team’s multiple times but there is still no sign of Nixon. Officials said the search teams are now focusing on the areas of water where Nixon was believed to have been when his boat capsized, but flooding and rising water are making the search more difficult.
