ND Photo Rescue assisting in Carthage, MO

Updated:
CARTHAGE, MISSOURI -
National Disaster Photo Rescue is undertaking another heartfelt project by  offering help to the residents of Kendricktown, Mo  a suburb of Carthage, Missouri after devastated flooding damaged many homes.
NDPR will provide services completely free of charge to dry and digitally preserve personal and family photos damaged by water and storms. This effort focuses on reaching out to community neighbors to save existing photos as well as protect the images in the event of future trouble. NDPR will use the latest in scanning technology provided by Kodak Alaris and E Z Photo Scan to preserve images on a flash drive. Participants will receive their original photos safe and dry plus a flash (or thumb) drive with their images preserved.
This service is offered at no cost, but only for residents with a Kendricktown MO address who register by January 20. To take advantage of this offer, call the NDPR office at 417-793-3044, leave a name and phone number and NDPR Representatives will call back with a drop-off appointment time. Residents may also sign up under the Save Your Photos Day tab on the website http://www.nationaldisasterphotorescue.org.
NDPR continues their work in Baxter Springs where 90% of lost photos have been returned, Van Texas where photos are currently being claimed and most recently in Garland and Rowlett Texas where an extension team is collecting photos after the December 26 tornado and await the arrival of our Carthage MO team. To support their efforts, visit the website to sign up as a volunteer or donate to projects.
The National Disaster Photo Rescue organization (501c3) formed after the May 22, 2011 Joplin Missouri tornado and is a ministry of First Baptist Church, Carthage Missouri.  National Disaster Photo Rescue is dedicated to the preservation and return of lost photos after a disaster, thus building renewed strength and hope by reuniting communities with treasured memories thought to have been destroyed.
