Joplin Couple Wanted for Home Invasion and Kidnapping in Alabama on the Run

Be alert for the couple shown. This post is from the Vestavia Hills, Alabama Police Department. 

The couple reportedly abducted a woman in Vestavia Hills  this morning. She was released unharmed in Birmingham. But the gunman believed to be the same man tried to rob a fast food restaurant 15 minutes earlier. The car involved in that case was believed taken in the robbery and abduction of a motel clerk in Tuscaloosa.A description of the vehicle the couple is believed driving now is below. 

WANTED AND AT LARGE
***CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS****
The two suspects pictured are wanted in connection with the Home Invasion and Kidnapping here in Vestavia Hills this morning. Pictured is Blake Fitzgerald, 31 years old, Joplin, Missouri and Brittany Harper, 31 years old, Joplin, Missouri, have felony warrants through the Jefferson County D. A. Office for the following charges:

Blake Fitzgerald:
1 count of Burglary first degree, 
1 count of Kidnapping first degree,
1 count Theft of property first degree

Brittany Harper:
1 count of Kidnapping first degree,
1 count Theft of property first degree

There is no Bond on all of these charges

There will be similar charges and warrants from other local jurisdictions coming soon. The suspects may still be driving the 2010, Silver Ford Edge, tag ?#‎2720AG7?. The two suspects are armed and dangerous and should not be confronted by anyone except law enforcement. If you have any knowledge or have seen these two suspects, please contact local police and Vestavia Hills Police (205-823-1153) as soon as possible

    Brian Barksdale is sentenced for first degree arson for setting fire to his Joplin apartment on South St. Louis. On May 23rd, 2018, Joplin emergency crews responded to the Cardinal Apartments at 1015 South St. Louis for a structure fire. Firefighters arrived on scene shortly before 10:00 p.m. and found a two-story wood frame multi-residential structure with heavy fire coming from an apartment on the first floor.     A former Columbus elementary principal is found guilty of attempted indecent solicitation of a child. Baxter Springs resident Ray Alfred Golden is accused of trying to persuade a child to enter his home with the intent to commit an unlawful sexual act upon the child in the home. The alleged incident happened in August 2015. On October 18th, 2018, Golden entered a plea of guilty in lieu of proceeding to trial.
