A four-state woman launches a historic fiction novel and signs books for fans today in Parsons.
Lisa London's recently released book "Darker by Night" follows the tale of a young girl growing up in Nazi Germany.
The story is inspired by actual events that happened to a fellow neighbor that grew up during world war two.
London says the book ended up being a birthday gift for the neighbor who turned 90 this year.
"Everywhere that I have done events and signings people come up and tell their families stories and I also get the opportunity to remind them to document those stories. I mean this book came about because there was a 90 year old woman who hadn't even told her children most of these stories, and they needed to be kept and told. So even if you're not going to write a book, tell your stories, because otherwise we lose them," says the author.
London says she plans to release the 2nd novel in her series in a little over a years time.
