Three Concerts Coming to Memorial Hall - KOAM TV 7

Three Concerts Coming to Memorial Hall

Updated:
JOPLIN, MISSOURI -

After 17 years on the road “Stonebridge Productions” is returning to Memorial Hall with three acts.

Al Zar of Stonebridge Productions says "This is home and to bring to show home will be a lot of fun."

To kick things off the 80's Rock Tribute Band “Hairball” will turn up the volume.

"If you grew up in Joplin, and if you know of “Stonebridge Productions” and you know of shows that have been done here...we wouldn't be doing a show if we didn't bring “Sawyer Brown” back to town, so that's June 18th."

Finally the “Oak Ridge Boys” will light up the hall with their Christmas Show in November.

With the push from groups like “Live JOMO” to revitalize the hall and successful events like “Zerkapalooza” and the Four State Franchise organizers looked to people like Jon Buck.

"With our knowledge and our experience with our lighting and sound production that we have in house and sound that we can do…to just give a lending hand. And if it comes to help sponsor an event here we just want to make sure it's successful,” says Live JOMO President Jon Buck.

And with the city investing in a new sewer line put in last month the timing is right to fill the seats once again.

Joplin Assistant Parks & Recreation Director Paul Bloomberg says "We've been doing cosmetic repairs right now, fixing sheet rock, redoing some of our bathrooms, things to make memorial hall presentable."

Tickets for “Hairball” go on sale this Friday on Stonebridgetickets.com.

Although these students are too young to vote, they're plenty old enough to care about issues our country is facing today. "Ever since Parkland happened, the shooting at Park Land. I've always had this mentality, like it can happen here" Erie High School sophomore, Matthew Inman attended the Pittsburg March For Our Lives rally, and one of the leaders encouraged people from all congressional districts to hold town hall meetings, the spirit of activism was contagious.
