9/11 Survivor Tree Offspring Makes New Home in Joplin

An offspring of a tree that survived the 9/11 attacks and makes it's new home in front of the Mercy Hospital in Joplin. The tree is one of three different seedlings taken from the original tree at the world trade center now growing at the 9/11 memorial. The other two went to Newtown, Connecticut and Madrid, Spain each having been through tragedy. It was planted outside the  cancer center of the hospital once called  st john's at the center of the tornadoes' destruction. The survivor tree represents new beginnings for citizens of Joplin.
