NORTH MIAMI, OKLAHOMA -
A collision between two vehicles caused one to veer off road, through a fence, and into the lawn of the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma early this morning. The driver of this car was driving erratically northbound on highway-69 when he crossed over into the southbound lane colliding with another vehicle which caused him to veer off and through the fence of the cemetery. As the vehicle was coming to a stop it slid between two headstones while narrowly missing a tree. The only damages to the cemetery were to the fence and the lawn, no headstones were hit. Police and paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before eight a-m where they found the driver of the car to be very combative, fighting the paramedics. The driver of the car was severely injured including some very deep face cuts. The driver of the car was taken to Joplin for medical treatment.
