Court documents released today in the homicide case of Joplin resident Willanna Anita Dunn claim that Dunn's landlord, Todd Greathouse, got into an argument with Dunn at her home, then strangled Dunn until she lost consciousness. Police say he then used a lamp cord to make sure she was dead.
Police claim Greathouse then carried Dunn's body to the trunk of his car, and drove the body to an abandoned mine shaft filled with water. Police say Greathouse used wire and weed eater cord to tie Dunn to a rock before dropping Dunn's body into the shaft.
"Todd Greathouse did commit the crime of murder in the first degree by knowingly causing the death of Willana Dunn...," says the court document.
