JOPLIN, MISSOURI -
The EPA is issuing a grant that will fund replacement Missouri school buses. The Four States Clean Air Alliance held a meeting at Joplin City Hall today. Owners and operators of public or private diesel school buses in Missouri are eligible to apply. If selected, applicants can receive a grant of up to 25% of the cost of a new bus for up to 2 buses, with a maximum of $16,000 per bus. The bus engine model also has to fall within the year range of 1991-2003. The reason for this is to get the older models replaced with newer more environmentally efficient models.
