Crawford County Officials to Shape Up Fair Grounds Before Aug. 3rd Fair
GIRARD, KANSAS -
The Crawford County Fair is coming up, but organizers say the grounds are still damaged. Heavy winds in April downed trees at the fair grounds in Girard. Power lines were also damaged as well as roofs to some of the 4-H horse stables. Members of 4-H, along with fair board members, participated in a workday Sunday to try and get things cleaned up. But there's still work to be done. Another workday is scheduled for Thursday. They invited anyone to lend a hand. County officials say the grounds will be ready for the fair on august 3rd. 20-30,000 people are expected to attend.
