Area Law Enforcement React to Narc Deal Gone Bad

Updated:
JOPLIN, MISSOURI -

Officers came to this home on the 2700 block of 11th Street twice. The first time following suspects who fled on foot from Hardees. Initially someone reported an armed robbery there, but that was a lie. It was a narcotics deal that went bad and windows of a vehicle were smashed with a pipe likely prompting people to report shots fired. No shots were fired at all. Officers with K9s tracked one of the men to the home. Two men were detained but released when no drug evidence was found. Only to be rearrested later at the same home for trespassing and peace disturbance after an argument. Police say the large response was based on the initial report. One of the two men arrested on the peace disturbance charge complained of medical issues while cuffed in a police car. An ambulance was called and he's being evaluated at a local hospital. An alleged third man suspects claimed was at the narcotics deal is still at large.
